Double-Dog Dare

Uploaded: October 31, 2017

Description

My theme for this week was "Inverted". I used a large mirror outside and dog treats to motivate the model. I had difficulty keeping the mirror clean from slobber, hair, and pieces of treats. The glass did not render a crisp reflection due to the old beveled glass being on top of a mirror. I gave up on getting a nice blue sky... so in order for me to salvage it I used a filter in Topaz Impression at 40% to give it a painterly feel with a linen-like texture which seemed to improve the image much more to my liking. I intentionally did not flip the image as I felt the subject was already inverted and I liked the composition this way only. My settings were F8 1/250 iso 400 24mm
