Description

Lots going on in this picture. We're in Mesa Verde Nat'l Park at the Montezuma Valley Overlook. The range in the background is the Ute Mountains - viewed from a certain angle the mountains appear to be a sleeping man or the "Sleeping Ute". To the very right and center of the picture is Cortez, CO - I graduated from high school there. I lived behind the tree at the base of the mountain range on the Ute Mountain Ute Indian Reservation in the town of Towaoc (toy-yah-ka). Dad worked for the Tribe (not the government). I love the high desert!! A little travelogue is fun.
