This is the end result of putting 27 high speed photos together. The white streaks you see are air bubbles in the reef. The green star polyps have waved nicely to create the blur.

I didn't use any special software or tricks - I had the camera on a tripod and it took twenty-seven high speed shots that I placed on top of each other with varying degrees of transparency.

I like the way the scene looks kind of like a magical forest with shooting stars - thus inner space (since it's in a reef and not outer space). I feel really fortunate to have these tiny creatures in a tiny tank and the ability to shoot them.
