Diamond In The Rough

Uploaded: June 06, 2017

Description

I noticed this charming structure in a small nearby town that had rectangles, triangles, squares diamonds & more. What first caught my eye was the diamond-shaped window & the cross buck door with triangles & a diamond shape in the window above the door. The bricks have a repeating pattern every 8 rows, w/ a white wash of paint that brings out the textures, colors & rugged wear of years in the weather & changing needs of the building. A composite of 3 bracketed shots brings out all facets of this long standing gem. This building has seen a number of businesses over the years & may now serve as a residence on the far side. I used Photomatix Essentials to blend the 3 images. The base image was F5 1/250 iso 400 at 70mm 24-105mm lens
