Description

Brown Eyed Susens in the afternoon sun with a Monarch Butterfly just settling in for a sip or two of nectar.
Original image of Brown Eyed Susens taken in my back yard in Southern Oregon. Image of Monarch Butterfly also taken in my garden and added as a composite image. I started with 3 photos of Brown Eyed Susens and blended them together to fill out the canvas. A light texture was applied to enhance the colors and was removed from the foreground to make it pop above the background.
The finished image was processed in Nik Color Efex Pro, Topaz Detail, Restyle and Impression.
