As the Wind Blows

Uploaded: May 01, 2017 | Entered: May 01, 2017 21:09:40

Description

The wind was blowing the flowers more than I wanted. I was complaining about the wind and my wife somewhat sarcastically remarked "Let it blow." That gave me the inspiration I needed for this photo. I used a speed light to stop the motion for a split second and let the wind take care of the rest. The exposure was f/32 at 1/8 second. The lens was a Canon 180mm macro with a macro speed light attached to the front of the lens. Taken using a tripod.

I think you need to give your wife a hug for her inspiration! This is lovely, the sharpness surrounded by "movement" is very pretty here, and the bright yellow against the darker background really helps create a fabulous image. #1685410
