Headed for the Light

Description

Beginning in February and ending about a week ago, there was a Festival of Light in Toronto's Distillery District. The various installations were created by artists from a number of different countries, and while the main theme of the Festival as a whole was love (possibly in relation to Valentine's Day), a few of the installations did embody other. ideas. I shot this image of part of one of the installations using intentional camera movement to create the effect of each "figure" being composed of multiple lines of light, though in fact each was composed of a single line. I also added a bit of space in front of the leading figure in PS.

Gerda, this is one of the most "controlled" ICM images that I have seen to date. I love it! The figures have a human quality to them as they stride out... head down, hands behind back, or staring straight ahead. Wonderfully expressive image... so much to see here. Well done! #1681561
