This Canada Goose was frozen in the pond after being separated from his flock. The hole to the bottom left of the goose shows where he was frozen in the pond. You can see his wet foot prints as he walks away after getting free of the water - his wings spread as it was a leap of fear that freed him. After a 3-day ordeal - during which he and his flock missed connecting with each other for various reasons - he finally rejoined them. It was heart-wrenching and humbling.
