Another great festive image John!

Ok, a few questions lol. To get the lights to "twinkle" like that, do you need a special lense? What kind of lighting do you use for shots like these? Obviously no flash, but do you have any back up lighting?

Thanks for any tips you could share! #352928

Thank you Heidi and Janine, and Heidi, you do not need a special lens for the twinkle, just a filter that screws to the end of your lens. I am using the Hoya Star-Six filter. The lighting is natural for the most part, this shot was taken during the day so there was light coming from a window to the side of the tree. I used a tripod and my camera setting was f/16 for 2.5 sec at ISO 100. Thanks again for the comments and inquiry. #2144852

Thanks for the reply John!

Unfortunatly, right now I don't have a camera that allows filters. I think I've "grown out" of my camera now, although it was a great lil' camera to learn on! :)

I'm hitting the hubby up for a Rebel for Christmas! LOL #2146439
