Thank God my home was pared during the recent South Louisiana flooding. 76% of all households in my Parish did flood.Two of my rental properties got 6 foot of water and are almost a total loss. No flood insurance (not in flood zone) and no government help. I am blessed because so many people including my renters lost everything. They had to leave their cars and wade out in waist deep water with a 3 year old.
