Description

For the Photogroup 101 Theme "Life in the Sticks". A baby mourning dove sits alone in the nest for the very first time. It is sitting on the second egg that did not hatch. The male parent dove left egg and baby alone for the first time in over 3 weeks, and was sitting on the laundry line pole right next to the porch where the nest lies on a shelf, watching as I took this photo.
