Description

After visiting the Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden several times [perhaps at the wrong time of year,] I hit pay dirt. All kinds of blossoms were in bloom and the Kill Van Kull was busy with shipping.

There was an entire "bank" of Birds of Paradise available to photograph. The proximity of the blooms to the supporting leaf structure made bokeh difficult, if not impossible, to achieve. So I decided to maximize sharpness due post processing using Nik's Sharpener Pro.

Exposure Info.: f/5, 1/50 sec, ISO 100, FL-47 mm.
