Under The Rose

Description

I had the pleasure of meeting BP member Usman Bajwa as he visited DC for a conference. Of course I took him to the cathedral! We went up onto a high, narrow walkway directly under the west rose window, which was getting great sunlight and thus painted us both in dappled colors. (A few prismatic spectrums appear on the wall behind Usman.) He let me capture this shot with his 10mm fisheye on his Nikon; not too bad for no autofocus and having to hold the camera against a ledge at arm's length! Great to meet you in person, Usman!

Thanks, folks, and thanks to Usman for thinking of the selfie in the first place, and letting me fire the trigger ;) #11500479
