Description

While the stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway from Big Sur to Monterey [Carmel] in California is unbelievable, we felt the Oregon coast to be a better photo op than California from San Diego to Big Sur. Obviously, it's very personal.

Huge boulders; a relatively active surf; many bridges - our drive was simply "to do again, sometime." With Newport a destination, so was the Yaquina Bridge. Too bad we didn't have the chance to cross it because there are venues looking west across the bridge that are also terrific. The color version is good but I prefer the monochrome.

Exposure Info.: f/16, 1/50 sec, ISO 320, FL - 22 mm on my 17-85 mm zoom lens
