After discovering a pair of mourning doves had set up home on my balcony and hatched 2 chicks, I eventually spotted this remnant of one of the egg shells. (The other shell appears to have been trampled in the nest, by the quite-plump chicks and parents.) I set the broken shell on my balcony railing, and really liked the abstract design of the straight lines and dark tones with the bright oval curvature. 7/16 Finalist - EoD
