This is a lovely tribute, Leslie. A trip to Milwaukee was the first time I met you and Ellen, so this image brings back that wonderful memory. It's hard to imagine that the sweet and kind Ellen is no longer with us - she will be missed by so many. #11467338

I feel as tho I've lost my best friend of a neighbor. If ever there was a classic example of the generous community spirit of BP, it was Ellen. Her enthusiasm, encouragement and support to so many of us thru her comments and inspiring photography will truly be missed. Sincere condolences to the "Chicago Group" on the loss of your dear shooting buddy...I know I speak for many BP'er's that your loss is deeply felt by all whose lives she graciously touched. (Thank you for your beautiful and fitting tribute, Leslie.) Rest in peace, dear Ellen. #11467443

Such a fitting tribute, Leslie. Although I had never met Ellen, I was such a fan of her images here on BP. She was such an amazingly gifted photographer. She was always so generous and kind when she left comments on my images. I will definitely miss seeing the world through her lens. #11467504
