Mayfield's Country Store

In frontier Texas, Mayfield's Country Store was the only stagecoach stop between Ozona and Comstock, Texas about 80 miles which was a major route west. It is now abandoned and there are no towns or stops between the two towns.

I find the red bell shaped objects interesting. Love the mileage signs on top.. if these walls could talk! What a story. #1649262JO ANN CLEVELAND February 09, 2016

You are finding some real gems Emile. I love everything about this, its so charming. Love all the cities and how far they are from there. Gorgeous colors, love all the things to see, its fun. The only thing that is sad about it is the place is all boarded up. Always hate to see that. #11433435Patrick Rouzes February 09, 2016
I agree with Frank- sad to see this site abandoned, Emile. Exceptional clarity, detail, tones & comp. #11433458Carol L. Fowler February 09, 2016

This is a very cool discovery, Emile. Too bad it ended up in disrepair. It must have been a busy beehive "back in the day". #11433577Emile Abbott February 10, 2016
