Night in the Nave

Description

Well, this was actually shot in the morning just before the sun was fully up, rendering all the stained glass pretty dark; but "night" has a better ring in the title... B/W conversion in Silver Efex2. The chairs were cleared out of the nave aisle for an annual week of special events called "Seeing Deeper".

Thanks, Teresa! I had fun editing this with lots of selective darkening (far edges) and lightening (ceiling center). #11433646

I love the tones, light, composition, and symmetry of this, Chris. It's a fave. #11444531

Thank you very much, Beth! The symmetry always appeals to me in architecture, but this one was a fun exercise in B/W conversion, playing with the pools of light, and selective burning, etc. #11444567
