Tom is a wonderful, friendly person, as warm as his twinkling eyes and smile would lead you to believe. He's especially good with the young people who come to the fort and loves to explain how tools are forged in terms that they can understand. He has lots of grandchildren, so I guess he gets lots of practice :)
