Description

...The St. Peter's Fiesta is a five day festival honoring the patron saint of fisherman, St. Peter. The festival is put on by the Italian American community of Gloucester, Massachusetts. On the last day, a religious procession marches through the streets of Gloucester. The highlight of the parade is St. Peter, who is carried upon the shoulders of volunteers. The procession heads toward the ocean, where many small and large boats are gathered. The Cardinal then blesses "all these ships and those who sail thereon".

I love that these people have this serious and most religious outlook and how important an event this is for them. You do a beautiful job, your picture brings that out.
