Lake Balboa Park in Los Angeles has many Herons; this particular one was perched on a tree branch with the blue sky behind him.

Great job. Lake Balboa and the Wetlands across the way can be a good place to find Blue Herons, Egrets, Ducks, Geese, Swans, Pelicans assorted gulls, cormorants and whatever else happens to show up, depending on the season. I caught my most famous photo 'Crying Duck' there, while testing out a new lens, as I live 5 minutes away. I've never seen a night heron there. Kudos. #1640175Cindy Koller October 18, 2015
Well, thanks for the compliment. I'd like to be, but unfortunately, there is really no way to make any money these days (and at my age) as a wildlife photographer.
