Nice Shot #47243

Margot - Thanks for the feedback! When we went on our hometown class assignment photo shoot, initially I felt a bit disappointed at how overcast the day dawned. But I soon realized it offered its own opportunities and challenges for both composition and exposure. When I saw these bright-colored umbrellas, my eye immediately recognized the interesting contrast to the grayish day. And darned if my trusty 10D didn't capture it just as I had hoped it would. Your comment is good encouragement to look at things with 'different eyes.' #146982

Nice shot Nancy. Composition works well and the colors are great. You could mask the ocean and sky and up the hue to see what the effect might be, but I think with the duller colors of sky and water, your focus stays on the umbrellas... nice! #147216
