Description

The bridge has been in place since 1952 — and for just as long it’s excited the thousands who’ve walked across with the thrills of mile-high elevation. Whether you cross it to challenge yourself, for the scenery, or to admire this engineering masterpiece, the experience will make your trip to Grandfather complete. The 228-foot suspension bridge spans an 80-foot chasm at more than one mile in elevation

I was on that bridge in 2007 in high winds. I was just about crawling across it, but I made it. This was after I darn near killed my old self climbing up from the parking lot only to find out there was ANOTHER parking lot at the top. Yikes! You brought back some memories with this one! #11275219

Was there three years ago this month! The curvy drive up was something and then walking it was a real adventure! Congrats on the winner...your focus to infinity is great on this, Dakota! #11276449
