Description

Canon EF100mmMacroL, 1/6400, F6.3. Native to Asia and celebrated for its medicinal properties as well as its bright beauty, the elegant ranunculus derives its name from the Latin word rana, meaning "frog". The name refers not to the flowers' appearance, but to the moist environments in which they typically grow. This shot was taken in the Flower Fields of Carlsbad, CA.
