Nature's close up

Uploaded: August 31, 2014 | Entered: September 01, 2014 02:43:13

Description

This was one of my very first photo of a robber fly with a prey. There was a slight drizzle when I was shooting and a drop fell on it's compound eye, giving this photo an extra dimension of "Nature's close up."
This was shot with the Tamron 90mm macro lens. I was flat on the ground taking this shot.

Exif: F Number: 11, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/200 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 200, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 90.00 mm, Model: DSLR-A550

Steven, I don't care if you were doing a one armed handstand with one arm tied behind your back. This is a GREAT shot!!!! Color, detail, balance all fantastic! Thanks for the info on which lens you used. #1585322

Hi Ed, couldn't help but smile with your one armed tied behind and all that.
Glad that you like it. BTW, I am now using the Tamron 180mm as it gives a much longer focal distance between the sensor and the bug. #11124669
