Is this picture contest worthy? It's a scanned image and I think that's why it looks so fuzzy and grainy. I would like to now if I have any bit of an artistic eye for photography. I would love to pursue this as a career! Thanks for looking! #344581

I think this is a great shot! I love how the orange cat seems almost 3-D and about to come out of the edge of the photo. How sharp the image is, the little hairs in his ears, the shading of his nose. Preious. And I think the DOF here definitely works. At least for me. I know that others may find some technical issues ( I'm horrible at that stuff) but if it were my image, I would submit it.

Thanks, Dee for the helpful critique.
I really have no clue as to what is right or wrong with my photos, and I'm bad at the technical issues as well, but I really want to learn.
This is the perfect forum for me!

Hey Debbie,
Thanks for the wake-up-call! '_'
I have entered this into the contest.
It's not a bad picture but I wanted to have other opinions, especially from professionals. I agree that there are much worse entered every day (repeadedly). I'm just getting my feet wet.

Well, not that you can change this now, but I could do without the chair in the bg. But I love the shot! Maybe you could clone the chair out? Your cats look like they have been photographed before. =) #2084337

Thanks for the suggestion, Sara.
That's going to take some time but I'll try it for sure. My Cats are great!
I always find them in funny "poses".

Jasmine, be brave. Putting photos in the daily competition is fun. It doesn't matter if you don't win, at least you've had a go. I'm still on my "L's". You also learn from seeing what others are doing. I see you love your cats. Lovely photos.

Thanks Bea,
Greetings from New York!
I agree, entering the contest is fun, win or loose, altough, I wouldn't know what it's like to win 'cause, I never won.
And, I've really been enjoying viewing all the galleries and communicating with members. I've learned sooo much here.
