Description

Next stop was Mandrogy. The town was destroyed in WWII but in 1996 an enterprising Russian, Sergei Gutzeit rebuilt the town as an open air museum of traditional Russian Villages for travelers to see who were cruising between St. Petersburg and Kizhi. There are brightly painted wooden houses, unique architecture, farms, stables and many Russian handmade craftsmen.
