Thingumy Bird
Uploaded: November 10, 2005
f/3.5, 250th, 70-200 L 2.8.
Took this picture mid morning on a glorious day in Adelaides Botanic Gardens (South Australia). It flew past me and perched in this Plane tree and happily allowed me to take 3-4 shots before moving on. I've no idea as to the type (despite them being very common locally) - so it's a thingumy bird :-)

You dad beat me to it Graham. It's a Noisy Miner, a Honey Eater. We have them in colonies. Pesky things. Very aggressive and chase small birds away from the garden. Very territorial. You have a great photo. #2255938Graham Jones January 05, 2006
