A Dazzling Sunset At Lake Eufaula

Description

UPDATE: The dog broke his sore open again on his foot. Cotton's Alzheimer's is really getting worse very fast. Yesterday was really hard. He thinks he's somewhere besides home and keeps asking to go home. Our bedroom was upstairs, but after the fall, we brought a bed downstairs and I think that's confusing him. He knows he should be upstairs. I need a break. It's really draining.

I sympathise with you Carolyn. It's such hard and draining work, looking after your loved one, and making sure he doesn't hurt himself too. Hopefully, you have somebody who can stand in as a carer from time to time, to give you relief. (In Australia, the Govt supplies carers for two hours a day to people like you, so you could have time to yourself, go shopping, photographing, or whatever time to yourself you wanted).

Your beautiful sunset does not reflect any hardships at home, rather, a peaceful serene image. Lovely colours too!

Thanks everybody. You help keep me going. I'm so sore from trying to lift him out of the chair, since he can't use the one arm, and has no kneecap in the one leg from an old accident, so it's pretty well impossible for him to get up by himself. #10990734

Very beautiful scene so very beautifully captured, Carolyn!
I second Debbie's suggestion. There has to be a local organization that can give you a helping hand. Don't go to the point where you are down too! Praying for you and family. #10990775
