Guy,Interesting that you are combining Infrared and HDR. I plan on doing courses on these things (separately) in the near future.
Curious... are you using a converted camera for the IR, or some other means? I also note you are not going flat B&W on this shot... have you looked at it in grayscale or toned?
Interesting!

Guy,I use a Sigma SD1 which has a pop-out IR dust cover, and use a 95mm R72 filter so I can compose on a tripod, half-press the shutter to focus and set exposure, and then hold the filter over the lens and finish the exposure. I've achieved some interesting results! Admittedly it takes a little manipulation. But the particular camera I use has some interesting behaviors. I expected that the bulk of the image information captured would end up on the Red channel, but when I opened the images, most of it was in the blue... I am sure that has to do with the Foveon sensor. I've been meaning to send a note to the engineers at Sigma for more info.

The shot I link here is a 6-shot panorama. The site (an abandoned asylum on Long Island) is just a fantastic place -- though it will soon become simple parkland as there are plans to destroy most or all of the buildings on the 800 acre site.
Thanks for sharing! It is good to see some interest in IR.
