Description

I used a Nikon lens 55mm-200mm for this shot. This photo was taken in Aperture Priority, 1/80 sec., f/5.6, 200mm, ISO 500, flash added to camera was used. The time of day was 5:45 pm. I should have used the shutter priority and set the speed much faster.

At least the background is blurred although I prefer a lot more blurring.

Again, these are the most active children belonging to a friend of mine. I should have been prepared to photograph "birds in flight" and I think I would have gotten better photos. At least I did manage to get a picture at opposite focal lengths (for this lens.) I literally ran around behind them and tried to get a focused shot. Not a photo session I care to ever repeat. I had reflectors and lights ready but they were useless in this situation. This was a case where I was out of control and it was very frustrating. I'm not very pleased with these photos but I always learn.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/80 seconds, Flash: fired, compulsory flash mode, return light detected, ISO: 500, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 200.00 mm, Model: NIKON D5100
