Thank you so much, Ronald and Dave and Charlene. I appreciate your kind comments very much. Dave, I'm lucky enough to be retired, so I can spend all the time I want taking pictures. When the weather is halfway decent, I usually take about 100 to 150 shots a day. On a good day for me, about 3 out of all the shots I took that day will be good enough to post. I'll be taking a course here at BetterPhoto beginning tomorrow ("Understanding Exposure") to help me boost that average.
Incidentally, I would never have believed this until I suddenly discovered photography as a hobby a couple of years ago, but it's really true that the more involved you get in taking pictures, the more you begin to really see things in the world around you that you'd never noticed before. -Gerda #137590

I have only discovered this as a great hobby only a few short months ago myself. I have always like to take photos, but point and shoot isn't what I want. I too will be taking a class one of these sessions. Please let me know how it works for you. I am excited to see your work.
