Staff Favorite - Flowers - August 2013

Blue Daze flowers, also known as Hawaiian Blue Eyes, scientific name evolvulus glomerata.
The little blue flowers, each about the size of a nickel, bloom along branches of slightly hairy gray-green foliage, and close up at night.
These blue daze are growing in a pot along with sweet potato vine, the yellow-green leaves in the background.
Minor sharpening in CS. (No color adjustment ... they really are this beautiful blue!)

Blue is a color of flower that is relatively new to me, but it has fast become one of my favorite colors for a flower. The reason is obvious by your gorgeous picture here of these Two Blue flowers and how pretty they are. Love the color combination of the blue and green, superb lighting, clear and sharp details and textures. A beauty for sure my friend. #10835851
