Kristen I love this...I have noticed all your flower posting on facebook they are all really good. I really like this as is. tells us how you got this affect on the image #10781100

Well... you folks know I don't do photoshop so this photo is right out of the camera except for a bit of sharpening. It was shot with a telephoto lens as I was actually out to get birds that morning. f5.6 1/20sec 170mm ISO100 ...the sky was over exposed but the flowers were perfect...this kind of shot is a very happy accident! #10781575

Dale Hardin July 26, 2013

I don't think it's an accident that you get good photos, Kristin. You do it all the time. Beautiful image. #10781626

Jeff E Jensen July 26, 2013

Yeah, no accident here. great work, Kalena! #10782029

I really like the composition and complementary colors, Kristin. I'm with the others. Just goes to show that on some days a blown sky can be your best friend. It's rare, but no accident. #10782680

My favorite flower pictures so far have been taken with my 300 mm telephoto lens -- just because of the impact of the shallow DOF. You did great, here, Kristin. #10785945

Beth Spencer July 30, 2013

I have to agree this is Beautiful!! You did good! #10788951

Kristin Duff July 30, 2013

Kristin -- Yes, I, too like this image and on rare occasions get one that comes out with a white background. It's like getting an unexpected present. I like what you did with the frame here as well rather than just separating the two whites with a fine stroke. #10789598
