Bar Yochai revelry, Miron Mountain, Israel

This event is celebrated each year around May. Hasidic people from all over the country gathered at Bar Yochai tomb on top of Miron mountain. The women can watch the men dancing from the Women's Gallery which is extremely crowded. In order to allow as many women as possible to have a vision of the dances a tribune was inserted into the Women's Gallery. This shot was taken from behind that tribune. I was attracted to the lines of women standing, the various positions of their shoes and the right figure with the white short skirt and high hills which seems quit out of place there.
The shot was taken using a B&W film 3400ASA which gives it the grainy affect
