Lazy days of summer

Uploaded: June 30, 2003

Description

Stream in NJ. which contains a lot of stirred up mud because of the heavy rains . This was a dry in the winter. I shot this at 7:30pm . I set my mini tabletop tripod on the ground and composed the image as best as I could with the muddy ground under me. I used a 15 -30 lens at 15 mm. I set aperature at f22 and let the camera balance the exposure with a 10 second exposure. . I didn't add any exposure to this image.

This is a lovely image, Donna. Very soothing, and a pleasure to view. All your hard work paid off. #129950

Donna, I agree...you've captured the serenity something I couldn't do when I tried for this exact same shot last nite. I couldn't believe it when I saw it, I was like "HEY" she took my picture! I took about 5 shots and none of them turned out. Great job! Great inspiration and motivation for me to get out there and try, try again ;-) THanks. #129990

Hi America, go for it.! YOu can do it if you go out again and try. I've seen how you have improved in the last few years. Make sure the sun is low in the sky and the light is diffused. Don't go when it's too sunny though. You'll have hot spots and high contrast.

. Good luck with your new baby.

Hi Leanne and Shirley, Thank you very much for the comments! #130003

I just can't seem to get that crispness, maybe it's my lens I don't know. Here's my shot I just went out and took, this is the jpeg extract without any adjustments. I set my av to f/22 and it exposed for 3 seconds. If you have a minute, Donna, I would sure appreciate your opinion. I very much appreciate your time...Thanks a bunch, America. #130120

Both of these shots are lovely and inviting; they make me want to get a blanket and book and curl up under that tree for the afternoon! #130223
