First Sign of Spring

Uploaded: February 11, 2013

In San Francisco, many trees flower throughout the year but the classic spring-bloomers only flower once a year. This camellia tree produces the earliest spring flowers, with buds forming in December and starting to open by January, even in unusually cold winters like this one.
