Bonfire Trails

Uploaded: February 09, 2013

Description

My sister's Iceland wedding concluded later that night with a massive bonfire on the beach. The millions of sparks flying up and away made a
captivating sight, and the only images I could capture handheld were the trails left by them as they soared upward.

Good thing you didn't have a tripod or you would have missed this.

Thank you both! I almost didn't enter this image; I loved the capture/memory of the wedding night bonfire, but I was on the fence as an image! What a treat! #10632295

Thank you Carol & Laura... Laura, I was wondering what you'd meant to put there instead - since each time I come look, I see a big blue tongue first ;) The joys of embedded HTML. #10633041

Dear Photo Friend: I feel that something has changed at Better Photo but cannot tell you just what has happened. I have been here since 2003 and most every month I have written to all the winners telling them how their work touches me. I have witnessed photographs that bring tears to my eyes and colors that are unbelievable, now I am worried that like all good things that it will not be here the next time I look.
But the feeling of not being able to congratulate all the winners for the hard work, and sharing their talent with all of us makes me so sad.
However it turns out and even if this is the last time I have this privilege, to let you know how exceptional your work has been, please know that I will never forget.
CONGRATULATIONS to all of you for the month of February, 2013, I send my very best to you always, Merna Nobile #10664814
