Description

Happy T~K~W December
I'm overdue for a Gator Post. Here you can see both protective eye covers that these fellows possess along w/the water tight flap at the back of the Alligators mouth. This is what enables them to lay in the water or grab a large turtle, holding it in their open jaws and even swim w/it underwater w/o drowning . This fellow is enjoying the heat of the sun and balancing it's body temperature ..
Thanks for all the wonderful comments on the finalist shots . I appreciate each & every one very much ...

These prehistoric creatures are make for the kill. They are fascinating to watch on the prowl, the way they have deadly weapons and amazing patients. Love the read about them and that picture is so amazing. Open jaws coming out at us. I think its safe to say you did'nt use a macro my friend. Awesome. #10444425
