Wow! Thanks for the response ya'll.
Yes Carolyn, this is one of those grits and gravy fed Hillbilly Bullfrogs.
I found him at Ijams Nature Park early one recent morning with the sun just up.. He had the sun in his eyes I guess, and I belly-crawled toward him until my lens was within 18 inches from him... I was able to snap a few shots before he splashed beneath the surface... I think he was distracted by a potential suitor nearby... (or he was very nearsighted and mistook ME for a possible date! It is the closest I have ever been to one of these giants. He really was huge! Thanks again folks, and happy summer... ouch! chiggers!@#%% oh well, everything has a price! #125560
