The lady whose garden included these odd balls didn't know the plant's name. These two are each less than three inches across, and seem to be filled with air. They grow on very slender stalks, bowing in every direction whenever there's a breeze.

What?? I thought they were twins from outer space. HEHE!Chris Ebben November 18, 2012 0
It looks like a "Cottonbush" (gomphocarpus) & has really unusual little flowers a bit like an orchid. A very unusal plant indeed. You'll have to go back when it flowers. Good work=^..^= #10423437

Thanks for your friendly observations, Kiki, Chris, and Pom.Kiki ~ from your lips to... ;-D
Chris ~ thanks so much for the head's-up on its name. I found a link with photos showing every stage:

Pom ~ as you can see above, Chris identified the plant, but I must say it could well be mistaken for your googly-eyed blowfish...which, real or faux, is cute in its own right. ;-D
Thanks again, ladies, and enjoy your Sunday!
