The Take Off

Uploaded: October 30, 2012

Description

Kite boarding has become a popular sport among extreme sportsters over the past decade. This is the start up with the kite pulling a kiter out of the water to zoom along at 25 to 35 miles per hour and sometimes making airborne leaps of 40 feet and more, hopefully landing well. Hundreds of kite boarders come to enjoy their sport every spring and fall on the sound side of the Outer Banks of North Carolina where the water is calmer than in the open ocean, the wind is often strong and the water is shallow enough to stand up in far from shore.
