what a stunning photo. The title
'lost' is so appropriate.

I am a bit of an amateur.
Did you need a polariser or flash
for this. I have a canon eos
3000. What speed film and mode
should I use to try something like this.

p.s. what time of day was it. #125177

This photo was taken mid afternoon but the canopy of trees makes it very dark. I did not use a polarizer because I would lose 2 f-stops and couldn’t afford that because this was a hand held shot from a kayak, also reflections work better without a polarizer.
I used a canon EOS 1D ISO200 program mode and selected the slowest speed I could hand hold to give the greatest DOF and sharpness.
