Description

We saw this beautiful set of falls from the road in south Iceland; entirely at ground level and below, falling about 8 or 10 feet over several cascades.
Definitely a fun place for a Variable ND filter; I ended up with a 2.5 second exposure here.

Thank you both! Part of the reason for the grin---I chose this image to print at 24x36 on canvas, as a Christmas gift to give my friend Megan (who went on the Iceland trip with me)!
This particular foss (waterfall) was one of many where I slammed on the brakes (I drove the whole time) and told her "I'm going to be awhile at this one..." She is extremely patient, and never minded my crazy drive-100-feet-and-stop-again photography demands ;)
At one point, after shooting at this falls for 45 minutes, I wondered what she was up to---I looked around and found her stretched out on the mossy ground, catching a catnap! I grabbed a snap of her dozing, and decided I'd call it "Not Another Freakin' Foss!"---the lament of a non-photographer traveling companion! ;) #10440078
