Getting Ready To Row

Uploaded: June 21, 2003

Description

Gloomy weather usually brings calm waters and excellent rowing conditions. This man is carrying his single scull down to the dock. The boats weigh about 25 lbs, are 26 feet long and only about 11 inches wide. The oars are about 12 feet long. When rowed correctly they really fly!... when rowed incorrectly, they flip!! It is a sport that requires great balance, technique, timing and strength. ;>)
