Description

The pelicans are headed south for the winter. The DNR is in the process of taking the game fish out of the lake and will kill off what fish they cannot save in November. The kill is part of a long term plan to renovate the lake and improve the water quality.
They were netting fish in the town bay area and the pelicans thought this was a good place to fish. The DNR folks were not giving up their fish and were using boats to discourage the pelicans from getting to close. I found a spot and waited for the pelicans to fly by.

Wonderful group flight capture. can only imagine how HECTIC that scene on the lake must have been as the Pelicans just see it as a big food fest w/easy pickings .

Sounds like a BIG INVOLVED project for the DNR
whats the Problem w/the Lake ??
