Wonderful compostition Lise. Love the way you've framed it. Such a blessing to be around the kind of scenery you're enjoying. #10317647

thanks everyone!
this weekend I got photoshop cs6 and books on how to use it. I studied! I posted this picture fully intending to use my new editing know-how on all the suggestions I expected to get. the irony!
pokhara is very beautiful-but it was much busier at the waterfront than you see in this picture. people washing clothes and selling things and a beach volleyball tournament getting set-up. interesting place! #10318236

Congrats, this is just a lovely scene. #10318277

Well-deserved. I like the shadows in the forefront. Lends just the right amount of ambience! I still haven't gotten CS6 yet. #10318628

I gave up on CS6 and purchased a macro lens instead. :o) #10318667

I read that Adobe plans to upgrade Photoshop every year so I subscribed to it. I'm most excited about the books though because it's making how to edit more clear. #10320294

I'm good with anything that has boats in it.This one has plenty , ergo, I like it a lot Lisa. And as others have said, that tree frames the image beautifully. #10321744

Well, Lisa, I think that if that had been one of my posts, all the comments would have been to lighten the tree and let some of texture show through. That would be a shadows/hilite adjustment using a smart object, or maybe a screen blend with all but the tree masked out.

but since nobody else said, that, I'm going to agree with them and just I think this is a pretty shot. #10327221
