Thank you, Maria. This was captured in my front yard during the Perseid meteor shower in July. (I set my camera up to continuously capture 30 second images and went to bed; I got lucky with this meteor.) #10540599

I would have though that with 30 second images, you would get light trails. The pic I submitted for the MT is 17 pics, 30 seconds each. That is how I got the torches from top to bottom.

This was captured with a Sigma 20mm f/1.8 lens. If you take 600 and divide it by the focal length of the lens, you will get the maximum length of time that you can have the shutter open without getting star trails, in this case 30 seconds. I had the shutter wide open with the ISO set to 2500, which would have picked up more stars than the naked eye can see.
