yes, sometimes color is only outside of your own self... that's when you know you need to bring it inside!Patricia Marroquin May 26, 2019

Gary, Gaby, Patricia, Leanne, Thanks guys I appreciate the comments! You inspire me to continue down this road of "capture". Now Gaby,, very deep... I love it. Let me explain a little about the symbolism I was trying to capture. The baloons are hope. The hope every little kid feels when the carnie says "Step right up". The color of happiness, hope, and of course fun. BUT the black and white of the situation is........money! Its as clear as black and white. "Making Money", but the kids dont see that really, there all to happy to spend there lawn mowing money. I watched this carnie all smiles, and wonderfully cheerey during the carnival. But when all the patrons were gone I stayed and was looking for the "real". And her mood changed to reflect the cold hard reality of how much money she made. The color, and the sounds, and the clowns, and the cotton candy paint a happy coat on the otherwise black and white deal......Matt #120301Gary H. Minish May 26, 2019
The black & white reality behind the colorful front! Your story really adds to the image, Matthew! I like it even better now :-) Great theme, strong statement and very well illustrated! #120445Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
