CARE

Description

RAGBRAI organizers bring their own medical support for the 10,000 plus riders and support groups. Six medical vehicles (four ambulances, a motorcycle, and an ER bus) operate along the days route. They are staffed by thirteen paramedics, doctors, and nurses. Local hospitals along the route are ready to assist riders that may need help. Normally 30-50 riders need assitance, but that number will increase this year due to the heat. This photo was taken south of Sac City, Iowa on July 23, 2012
